As Quality Assurance Engineer, your heart beats faster from knowing that you’ve helped create a product that is more reliable, efficient and user-friendly. To do this you craft and execute comprehensive (automated) test plans, and given that we work with Edge, you’re comfortable improving our existing Factory Acceptance Testing methods.

At your core, you love diving into the details and won’t stop until you’ve found the root cause and made sure it gets fixed. You’re eager to help troubleshoot support issues and lend a helping hand documenting user workflow so that PEBCAK is not something you’ll encounter too much.  To sum it up, you will:  

• Build, enhance and maintain automation frameworks to automate critical user scenarios for regression testing.  
• Drive quality across all Engineering disciplines, providing guidance, feedback and suggestions to improve quality practices.  
• Create and enhance test plans based on feature requirements and specifications, as well as technical discussions and deep dives with engineers. 
• Prioritize and execute test scenarios in our Helin environment that’s representative of the customer’s schema and workloads.
• Partner with Support and Engineering to investigate, troubleshoot, and identify/implement fixes for customer-facing issues.  

This is what you bring

1. More than 5 years of industry experience in Quality Engineering with hands-on experience in backend software testing, testing frameworks and test automation.  
2. In-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best-practices, techniques and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements.  
3. High proficiency in Python and GIT.  Experience with C++  and Docker is a plus. Experience with continuous integration / continuous deployment systems like Jenkins.  
4. Experience in designing custom tests that test complex systems on a big scale and experience in various test execution methods- integration (with 3rd party services), regression, exploratory testing, performance testing, front-end applications test automation.  
5. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
6. You are a resident of the Netherlands and a) live at a distance from where you can commute to our office in Rijswijk at least 3 times a week, b) have a permanent work permit (we do not sponsor visas or relocations), and c) have a strong spoken and written English communication skills in English.
