Why this Role Matters

As Integration Engineer, you will help ensure Helin’s edge-intelligence platforms run reliably in offshore and industrial environments. By supporting the commissioning and integration of our RedZone Manager and SmartGrid Manager, you will reduce rig downtime, improve safety, and enable real-time decision-making for our customers.

What You'll Achieve

• Support remote commissioning of our RedZone Manager solution by collaborating with field engineers and configuring software environments. 
• Act as the focal point for our RedZone Management platform, ensuring smooth updates, releases, and installations. 
• Troubleshoot software, firmware, and hardware issues under pressure — calmly and confidently. 
• Lead remote updates of software and hardware troubleshooting on Edge devices using Git-based workflows. 
• Integrate third-party hardware with the Helin platform using industrial protocols. 
• Monitor system performance using tools like Grafana or Datadog, and trigger alerts when needed. 
• Collaborate with Engineering and QA to reproduce complex issues and ensure robust fixes. 
• Drive knowledge sharing through structured documentation and Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) practices. 

What You Bring

• 3+ years experience in a technical role, implementing real-time or distributed systems, ideally in a customer facing role.  
• Proficiency with Linux and command line operations for system configuration and troubleshooting 
• Strong debugging skills using system logs, Command Line Interface, and browser developer tools 
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS) to support remote deployments 
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and update workflows 
• Working knowledge of industrial protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus) for hardware integration 

Nice to Have

• Experience with Agile methodology and release cycles 
• Ability to read or write Python scripts for automation 
• Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) 
• Experience with Zendesk or other CRM systems 
• Knowledge of oil & gas industry or offshore operations
