Why this Role Matters
Industrial hardware deployments are growing more complex. Offshore rigs, vessels, and remote energy sites rely on edge devices, camera systems, and AI-driven monitoring. But installation quality and operational uptime depend on standardized processes and strong technical leadership. 
 
This is a 1st line management role. As Team Lead Field Service, you'll own field service operations for Red Zone Manager and hardware deployments. You'll lead a team of field service engineers, standardize deployment processes, and enable external partners to deliver independently. 
 
You'll shape how field service evolves as AI and platform capabilities reshape implementation. This is about enabling others, not doing the work yourself. 
What You'll Achieve
  • Lead and develop a team of field service engineers deploying hardware, camera, and edge systems across offshore and industrial sites.
  • Standardize implementation processes from Factory Acceptance Testing through on-site commissioning. Build repeatable frameworks that external partners can execute independently.
  • Enable partner organizations to deliver installations at scale, expanding deployment capacity without scaling headcount linearly.
  • Drive the strategic roadmap for field service over the next 2–3 years. Anticipate how AI and platform evolution will reshape the function.
  • Own deployment quality and uptime metrics across all field operations. Your team's work directly impacts crew safety and operational reliability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and commercial teams to align field service with Helin's platform evolution.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years in field service, implementation engineering, or technical project delivery in industrial, offshore, maritime, or energy environments.
  • 2+ years leading or coordinating technical teams. Formal management experience preferred. Strong informal leadership (mentoring, project coordination) also valued.
  • Solid understanding of hardware deployment workflows: IP networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, routing), CCTV/camera systems, edge devices, and industrial connectivity.
  • Proven track record building or improving standardized processes for technical implementations. You think in frameworks, not one-offs.
  • Strategic mindset: you see beyond today's tasks to tomorrow's operating model. Experience navigating organizational or technical transitions is a strong signal.
  • Excellent communication across audiences: translating between technical field teams, external partners, and senior leadership.
  • Based in the Netherlands with valid permanent work authorization. No visa sponsorship available.

Nice to Have
  • Background in AI-enabled camera systems, vision AI, or smart energy deployments.
  • Experience managing partner or supplier relationships for outsourced technical implementations.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, IoT devices, or industrial monitoring platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Linux environments and CAD documentation tools.
 
Note: Nice to have means not required.

  • Location: Rijswijk, Netherlands (hybrid: 3 days in office per week)
  • Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel to supplier sites and offshore locations.
  • Learning budget: €3,000 annual budget for conferences and training.
